D. Barrett Edwards IV
D. Barrett Edwards was raised in California and Utah. He served for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Resistencia, Argentina, where he became proficient in Spanish. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Economics, he earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Delaware. As a graduate student, he enhanced his knowledge of municipal government by working as a research assistant for the Institute for Public Administration at the University of Delaware and the Delaware Office of State Planning Coordination. While attending law school at the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University, he gained additional experience through a co-op placement with the City of Philadelphia Law Department.
Barrett resides in Dover with his wife and their two boys, and they are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
